The need for smarter management capabilities is growing, and we need to grow with them.

The police are facing a generational shift in communication as we move towards the next generation of radio communication. This will provide us with new communication opportunities with an increased ability to share information in external operations. As part of this work, we need to build a new development team where you will play a crucial role. Your work will involve collaborating with our team to build one of the central components for the new solution. With the new opportunities, we need to build what our operations require. The work is innovative and exploratory in close collaboration with the operational business.

Job Description

As a system developer within Operational Business Systems, you will have an important role in creating mission-critical and future-proof systems. You will be part of a new development team that will work with the management and handling of the police's radio systems, where you will contribute to solving complex technical challenges.

The team consists of experienced architects and system developers. Our team will work very closely with other teams working on the assignment. Within the team, we are collectively responsible for the development and management of the systems we develop. The systems operate in a complex infrastructure environment with very high demands on security and availability.

As a system developer, you are responsible for:

  • Building, testing, and maintaining our in-house developed systems
  • Creating secure solutions with high availability requirements
  • Participating in the work to develop solutions for the requirements placed on our systems.

Qualifications

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • Relevant documented education in system development or equivalent acquired experience that the Police Authority assesses as equivalent
  • Several years of current and relevant experience working with agile system development in .NET.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Swedish citizenship

It is advantageous if you also have:

  • Experience with Databases, REST, Git
  • Experience with build automation / CI/CD / Jenkins
  • Current experience working with system integrations
  • Experience with Windows
  • Experience with Linux
  • Experience with Distributed systems
  • Experience with telecommunications systems
